ABOUT THE ARTIST
Kali Uchis is a Grammy-winning Colombian-American singer and songwriter known for her genre-defying sound and bilingual artistry. She began her music career with the self-released mixtape Drunken Babble (2012), which blended doo-wop, reggae, R&B, and hip-hop influences. Her 2015 EP Por Vida featured high-profile collaborators like Tyler, the Creator and Diplo, further cementing her reputation as a bold, experimental artist.
Her debut album Isolation (2018) received critical acclaim for its seamless fusion of soul, funk, and pop, while her second album Sin Miedo (del Amor y Otros Demonios) (2020) marked her first primarily Spanish-language project and included the viral hit “Telepatía.” Uchis continued to evolve her sound with Red Moon in Venus (2023), a dreamy, R&B-heavy album, and Orquídeas (2024), which debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 and showcased her Latin roots more deeply.
Over the course of her career, Kali Uchis has earned a Grammy Award, multiple Billboard Music Awards, and several Latin Grammy nominations. Her ability to fluidly shift between English and Spanish, and between musical styles, has made her one of the most dynamic and innovative voices in contemporary pop and R&B.
